I'm a Giraffe
I was a party lastnight and I think I have a tendency to talk about myself and not ask others good questions about their own lives, but I feel like I'm being too nosy or forward if I ask people a lot of weird questions. I'm so socially awkward I should crawl in a hole.

I feel like that all the time. No one is talking and I don't want to interrogate someone, so I just talk about myself. Then I feel like everyone is bored hearing about me. And I too wish to burrow deep into the ground!
It must be something about the genius type.
